Jack Pearson is a recurring character in the NBC original series, This Is Us.
Background
Jack was born on August 31 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Rebecca Pearson. He had four children named Kevin, Kate, Randall, and Bonnie Pearson.
After a long, hard fought childhood with both his parents and alcoholism, all Jack wanted to do was settle down. He found that when he met Rebecca and later married her and had children. Though his job didn't pay well, he did everything to provide for his family, this being the main reason why they were so affected by his death. He died as a result of severe smoke inhalation after being caught in a house fire.
